These alignment changes require skills that are not normally obtainable in the field.
Achieving a larger speed reduction ratio takes a smaller sun gear diameter (or an exceptionally large ring gear). This smaller sun gear is usually integral with its shaft, which should be smaller as well, thereby reducing its power and its own torque or load capability.
